This might include meeting notes, financial information, client documents and records of previous interactions.

How to import your contacts into quipp

quipp supports contact imports using CSV and Excel (.xlsx) files, so it’s straightforward to bring client contact records from a spreadsheet or an existing CRM export. Once you’ve exported your data, it takes four steps.

  1. Select your file

Upload the CSV or Excel file containing your client contacts.

  2. Map your columns

quipp automatically matches recognised spreadsheet columns to client fields. Review the mappings, make adjustments or exclude fields you don't want to import.

  3. Preview your contacts

Review the records, check for flagged issues and select the contacts you want to include.

  4. Confirm the import

Review your selection and complete the import. Send client invitations now, or add the contacts first and invite them later.

Invite clients now or later.

Sending invitations is especially useful when you’re actively working with clients and want to introduce them to the financial management features available through quipp.

Once the import is complete, check your client list to make sure the expected records have been added correctly.

What happens after your client data is in quipp?

Moving your client data is only the first step. What matters is whether quipp makes it easier to manage the work you do with those clients.

Consider an annual financial review. You’ve scheduled a meeting, but you still need a completed questionnaire, a recent account statement or confirmation that an action from the last meeting is done. Individually these are small tasks, but tracking them across dozens of client relationships takes considerable time.

In quipp, you can maintain client records, view relevant client financial information, collect information with forms, share files and create tasks to track outstanding work, all within one workspace.

Because your existing records and notes move with you, you build on the relationships you’ve already established instead of starting from scratch.
